Okay that’s what I thought too. For the longest time, only that sharp curve was twinned. Okay, that proceeded quietly. Now I wanna see the same thing in Revelstoke N.P. because too many fatal crashes happened there.
Nothing so far about Revelstoke. Perhaps once all other project are done new one will be rolled out.
Look at this one here:

It is all BC government photos. Twining to Chase west is going full steam and it will be done next year. After that they should continue east through the village.

^Thanks for the link to all the photos of the twinning outside of Chase, it’s too bad it’s such a short stretch. Hopefully they continue to 4-lane east of Kamloops on a regular basis to keep extending that section eastward.

As for the 4-laning around Rogers pass, I couldn’t find any info on it but I too have driven through there and seen it happening. Found info regarding expansion around Illecillewaet and Quartz Creek Bridge but nothing specifically about Rogers Pass area.
I did stumble upon this dated (25 years) comprehensive report that I thought was interesting:

The meat is between slides 63 and 68. It’s interesting that Golden’s meant to be bypassed (unless that’s already the Northern Bypass).

Interesting report. Thank you. It is clear to me that nothing will be bypassed and the highway will roll as is. As far as the report it is the only one so far where I red about Revelstoke. Anyway, nowadays seems no one has any idea how the highway will go through there including the twining at Three Valley Lake. These two will be interesting to see.

Here is another interesting slide from Parks Canada: https://pc.gc.ca/-/media/pn-np/bc/yo...t-overview.pdf
Proposal for twining by Filed. Please note the pedestrian traffic light by Filed Visitor Center. I choked and heart attack later. There must be another way. Arrrrgh

Send your email demanding an interchange there as many of us have.

I wonder when we will get an update on that project.

I think I submitted my feedback via their link a year ago, not sure if they got it.

Yeah I submitted my feedback to that months ago as well. Crazy to be adding traffic lights to the TCH as part of an “upgrade”.

I just saw this. Does it mean what I think it means??
Also since when does the short segment around Memorial Park (i.e. immediately east of the curved divided 4 lanes) have 4 lanes? It looks recent.
Sadly this isn't anything about twinning. They've been just dumping all the slide materials in this area along the road for about 10 years now. I imagine since it keeps happening so regularly they probably don't want bother doing anything but clear the two lanes that are there now. They've also been building some impressive channels above the highway to try to guide the mudslides.

Funding for the $260.3 million project will primarily come from the provincial government. The federal government has agreed to provide $12.1 million dollars.

Feedback can be given to provincial officials by emailing chasefourlaning@gov.bc.ca or by calling the Senior Project Manager Maike Schimpf directly at 778 362-4568.

Thanks for the 4.6% funding for your highway Ottawa.
Is BC just too far away to care?

That really stood out when I was reading the article. Would have looked better if the amount was $0. $12 million out of $260 million comes across as insulting. It would be nice to know what the B.C. government asked the feds to contribute. Hopefully it wasn't just $12 million!

Speaking of federal funding, has B.C. received it for KHC Phase 4 yet? I wonder whether that's why the feds don't wanna put in more...

Not sure if everyone here is already aware, but they seem to be providing updates about the project on this site: https://www.kickinghorsecanyon.ca/about/news/

Latest update is from Dec 18th regarding a new potable water station. Built because the current source will be inaccessible during construction.

Things actually seem to be moving now, haha.

Is it safe to assume that this summer we will finally start to see major roadworks on KH phase 4?

The Kicking Horse Canyon Phase 4 project will be underway soon, with a month long highway closure coming in the spring. Traffic will be rerouted through Radium and Kootenay NP. In preparation, a new roundabout has been completed at the 93/95 junction in Radium, complete with fancy freeway style sign gantries at each entrance.
