Blue Bell's alright. It's not my first choice, though. I actually like HEB's brand better. Of course if anyone wants to offer me some ice cream I'll take it, even if it isn't from HEB.
Don't know if this is the case anymore, but I worked at HEB in high school and heard that some of the Creamy Creations stuff was made in the Blue Bell factory - at least for a time it was.
I hate to bring up another Austin-SA comparison, but I'm curious. One would think, in general, the bigger the city, the bigger the city budget. Austin just approved a $3.5 Billion budget. But SA's is only $2.5 Billion. Why the giant disparity despite the difference in city population?

Property valuation probably explains the revenue differential but what are we getting for an extra billion? I'd be curious to see how it breaks out, especially on a per capita basis. It does make sense that faster growth necessitates greater expenditures for infrastructure etc., but SA is growing fairly quickly as well.
One reason for higher expenditures here is probably that liberals like me are always demanding bigger budgets for everything -- schools, public transit, assistance for the poor, dog parks, free yoga for dogs, free condoms, free needle exchange programs, free LSD... or am I remembering San Francisco?

Seems that most smartphone and compact cameras have panorama modes as integrated settings these days. I have used software in the past as well...most recently Microsoft's Image Composite Editor: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/.../projects/ice/

The 7K is number is an estimate of the area at build out. There is virtually no population increase right away with only 14 homes in the proposed annexation.
The article goes on to say that the Douchebag (my word) Zimmerman doesn't want the city to do any annexation. This loser is a city killer.

That's a misrepresentation of what Zimmerman said. He said he thinks the places a city wants to take in should be able to vote on it.

Not being annexed is a great deal. You don't pay city taxes, and still get to use city services (parks, roads, economic development, public safety, etc.)

Well, in most places the areas outside the limits pay substantially more for services that the city provides. That and roads are also typically not paid for by the cities either, they're county and state maintained.
