I'm so glad for Hamilton. In certain ways, I see a kindred spirit between hamilton and Montreal; both neglected cities of sorts, brushed aside for some time, and now both resurrecting and beginning to rise again!

Vive Hamilton!

They should have approximately 10 storeys each, but it will depend on how high the city will allow them to get.

Congratulations, Hamilton!

I remember someone here once commented on a recent panorama of Hamilton that someone very excitedly shared by saying, "That's a great shot of what a city looked like in 1985", or something like that.

Well, that's changing fast!

And the best thing is it only takes a few nice buildings to make a dated, concrete skyline look attractive. In fact, with a few nice, modern buildings, the dated ones even look good and become necessary to the whole.

Calgary is a great example of this. Montreal too.

yay sherbrooke! not many cities can claim that they are increasing their skyline's size by 150% Mind you, it isn't that much of a feat if you are going from 2 to 5 highrises..

Niagara Falls

I added an outline of where the Grand Condominium Hotel will fit in the Niagara Falls skyline. The Loretto Fallsview Development (3 towers on the left) will also be a new part of the future Niagara Falls Skyline.

The 60 & 61 floor River Road Development will be built just behind where the photographer would have been to take the above photo.

Niagara Falls will comfortably be a top 10 Canadian skyline if those get built. The 2 proposals out of frame would be, by far, the best in the city.

Like I said in the other thread, great stuff.

missing in this pano:

*Univers
*CHUM + CRCHUM (major impact on the dull eastern portion)
*Point Zero (next to Marriott)
*1500 R-L
*Griffintown towers

I would also add Roccabella, which is now excavating, Icone, and especially Le Victoire which would be very visible from this angle as it would be silhouetted against the stock exchange building. Still, cheers to GS. Montreal for creating an interesting pano!

It seems that there are a lot more that are missing... Altitude is not there and should be visible between Place Ville-Marie and Batman. Deloitte? Should be very visible. Icône and Rocabella between Tour des Canadiens and Avenue? Yul? Victoire? M9 phase 4? Condos St-M? The last two are smaller but should be visible in the skyline from this angle.

I think I speak for most here when I say I hope all those buildings never see the light of day.
