Filed under "if anybody cares". Any story about the Manchesters seems to be either a diatribe or a loving fluff piece. This one falls into the latter category.

Wouldn't it be nice if it did revert back to a 50 story structure.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the article mentioned it will be a 1.3 million-square-foot building. Would that make it the largest square footage for a building in DT? (Not including the convention center)

Now with the sidewalk closed on the north side this part C. Chavez is effectively a no pass through zone. There is a sidewalk on the south side but I don't think you are supposed to use it as evidenced by the signs at Red River & C. Chavez.

Will do something on either side to remedy this?

Site prep progress. A hole in the ground, filled with water.

If you got a picture of the area just upstream on the downtown side, could you post that also. That is a very cool picture.

Anyone on SSP have a helicopter? It'd be great to get regular updates from that vantage point of downtown.

Any updates on how the digging is going? Should be a pretty decent hole by now.

It's huge now. It finally looks like a something big is going up there.

Notice a large cage rebar on site, sorry no picture. Also the hole almost looks cleared out, so it won't be long before the tower cranes are installed.

Glad to see somebody's still up. I noticed cement trucks at the site last week, but they may have still been working on the retaining wall creek side.

True, I wanted to walk by there but didn't have the time. All I could do is glance over, but I can say the hole is pretty much done.

At least one of the three crane bases is on site this morning. This one is starting to move fast. No zaza here.

Great updates today SkyPie. The Fairmont pit has a little further to go than I thought based on my daily drivebys on Cesar Chavez.

That is a large hole, nonetheless. This thing has a pretty big footprint.
