wow amazing pictures!

I love this one really cool angle!

the glass on 351 amazes me and how it changes and the effects of it

look at how different the colour looks:

Awesome shots! Love the ones of 351 - and the one of Fortis from Water.

As if that Hong Kong restaurant didn't look like a piece of shit before, it really looks terrible now with 351 coming together. 351 looks like a short bus to me, the building that could have been, it should be twice that height.

She does look a bit stubby, but I guess that's okay. Hopefully the curtaining on the garage will make it look more managable. The office portion was originally designed to be built on only two stories of parking so It would have looked less stubby with the office portion being significantly taller than the garage. But with the city's extra public parking spaces, it makes for a taller building (wohoo!) but also makes it look stubbier. I wish they had added at least three more floors to it, but it's still a great building! (I LOVE the glass!) Hopefully it will be surrounded by taller buildings in the future

^ I'm anxious to see the curtaining, as now it looks horrible in my opinion, the top looks fine, but in the stage it's in now it looks like a kid trying to jam a triangle block into square hole

I like how they have a bit of overhang at the top to give it a more finished look.
The top floor will look like it's all glass as well.

These pics also belong in the 351 thread for continuity.

I've quoted the appropriate photos so they can be part of the Fortis and 351 threads.

I really like 351, I just wish they built it with the ground floor as retail commercial space. You really have to be careful not to alienate the street, for the health of any downtown. Can't have everything I suppose.

There will be street level retail and a restaurant inside.

there is a lot more info on this building at their site: http://www.threefiftyone.ca

My Bad Thanks J

Still nothing on the harbour drive side of things though as far as I can tell, could have really helped to kick start a redevelopment of the waterfront.

Better then I thought though.

Great photos today.

I see a roof deck on a heritage house, but it's not at the highest point of the house.

Retail probably wouldn't do well on the harbour side - thanks to the lack of any such development in the past. However, there will be a restaurant at 351 overlooking the harbour.

What a gorgeous sunrise! Astonishing pictures this morning!! I love that skyline photo as well. 351 is really starting to have a noticeable impact on our skyline! One thing though, if you zoom in from that angle (yes, I downloaded the picture ) it makes 351 look very stubby.. Hopefully this will look a little better when all the glass is finished.

But, amazing pictures this morning! Keep up the good work
