The site, 1717 W. Loop South, currently houses Micro Center. The computer and electronics retailer will remain at its current site until it opens a new location near the 610 Loop and Highway 59 Southwest Freeway interchange later this year.

Construction on Amegy's new 350,000-square-foot building is expected to begin early next year and conclude in the fall of 2016. The cost of the land and the total cost of the project are not disclosed.

It will be interesting to see the design.

There's already a new home envisioned for the Micro Center south of the Southwest Freeway. That development will probably be part of a power center that will occupy an old moving and storage warehouse.

I like it, It has glossy appearance, still wondering what the overall shape looks like though.
