^^ I'm at a loss for words. Just LOOK at the size of those steel trusses in blue . That's enough material to re-open the South Works plant

Keep this structural engineering info coming - I really love this stuff.......

I have to say, I don't think I've been looking forward so much to see a tower start to rise (that actually turned out to be a 'real' project, I should add [Spire]) since Trump......this is going to be such a treat watching over the next several months......

Final Official Height?

I know we haven't had a confirmed final official height here....but everything certainly seems to point to what BVic had mentioned some months back - a modest increase of maybe around 10'? ft or so - to a bit over 750'..........as one office floor has been added, and a mezz level has been shortened.......

Hyatt confirms it will move HQ in 2017

I'm surprised no one has posed this yet, another big tenant for 150

Hyatt confirms it will move HQ in 2017.

Highlights:
"With the long-term lease for about 250,000 square feet, Hyatt will begin moving about 1,000 employees from two other buildings—the headquarters and 200 W. Monroe St.—by the end of 2017, Hyatt spokeswoman Danielle Tullier said."

The rendering from the article looks different. More like the original, but with higher setbacks. Can anyone else see what I do?

looks like a barge of piles as shown up today. I'm guessing for platform foundations though I thought they had already finished that.

There are I-beams and raker beams on the barge, along with steel sheeting. This is to frame out the footprint of the tower and the core for excavation.

They've already started driving sheeting.
