Hmm.... well we know for sure it's 38 floors, and it was 147m (apparently) with 40 floors.... So take off a few meters and Ta-Da

So far so good!

Good job!

Interesting little tid bit here: these two towers rank as the 80th tallest proposals in Canada!

I don't think you can really trust this render for the design. It's a render mock-up for looking at floor plans. But it does confirm the added number of floors (4 floors) compare to the previous one (35 floors).

I'm just relief that they didn't go for balconies.

Same here, nothing worse than ugly balconies poking out the side of the building.

This is the difference the height increase makes on this project. Left: with the new height, right before the increase. According to someone in "the know" on MtlURB, this project is 143 meters high.

As for the design and cladding, no new render out yet.

It would be cool if one tower was a few floors taller, kind of as a nod to complexe desjardins. I'm still not holding my breath for an outstanding design, but that would help mitigate the blandness somewhat.

That Gap in the skyline (finally being filled) has been around longer than that on Alfred E Neuman's face.

That's the same dude who posed this, which is very intriguing as many of his height figures are either wrong or there's something we don't know

With all the details he gives, it would make sense that he has access to these infos from the city itself. Avenue at 183 meters does make sense.

5 days left until construction starts according to the website. I seriously hope my doubting of this announcement is wrong.

Meanwhile upon looking at the base closely, I can't say 'm too impressed. I really think the base ought to have had a restaurant and shops. Instead it looks like it will be a big empty waiting room. I mean, North America's busiest arena is 50m away, what an opportunity to incorporate a pub and hang out places.

You're right about the location near Bell Centre. With the size of this ground floor, I can't imagine there won't be commercial activity of some sort. It would be a great place for something like e11ement near AC Centre in Toronto.

There was an announcement today that the machinery will be on site monday march 4th and start digging the undergound parking the next day. The article says that there will be businesses at the base of the podium.
