[QUOTE=Montreal booster;6836077]I know someone posted a while back to keep politics out of this thread, BUT, it's just a fact that if you keep talking about separation, everybody will give up on us economically. QUOTE]

I too, know that we shouldn't speak about politics here but I need to reply to you about this statement.

Oddly enough it's the Liberal Party that speaks the most about separation in this province. Being the party that promotes federalism, shouldn't they promote this system rather than frighten investors with a project that seemingly is not appealing to the vast majority of voters ? Since the Liberals have been governing for the most part of the last 15 years should we blame them for the actual slow growth of our economy ?

To me it is just strange to blame the poor performance of our economy on a party that has been in the opposition for the most part of the last decades !!!

This being said, I'm glad Cadillac-Fairview has faith in our city !!

I think this building has a greater impact on Stanley Street than the street it's actually on.

It's a nice change to look down a street and not just see sky.

Stanley street looks more "big city" now with the Deloitte.

Also, the crown really helps the tower sleek out. I'm very satisfied with this tower.

Quality is apparent... Just the awesome transparency of the building sets it apart from Montreal's other glass towers. Not surprising as the architects are Kohn Pederson Fox. Very few buildings in Montreal have been designed by such high profile, accomplished architects - this is the same firm that "created" the IBM-Marathon Tower for us (now 1250 René Lévesque), maybe our most architecturally significant and sophisticated skyscraper from the past few decades in Montreal.

It is particularly impressive from the South. And more is coming from Cadillac Fairview if I can judge from the sales modules being built at Peel and St-Antoine.

Has anyone seen this lit up at night yet? It looks soo good!! I saw it for the first time yesterday on my way across pont champlain and taking the bonaventure expressway toward the tunnel. Coming across pont champlain it kept grabbing my eye and i was thinking 'what are those lit up opposing angles in the sky?' i figured it had to be deloitte, but never considered what decorative lighting it would have on top. When I got closer I could confirm I was right. I was driving, so unfortunately couldn't take a photo... I am really liking this addition to the skyline, and surprisingly - most of all, at night!
