I love this shot! I'm a big fan of the up close construction action.

It would be interesting to see how many linear feet of rebar they will use in this particular building - both towers that is.

BP is really starting to move. I won't be long before it's above grade.

Drove by today. The core is now poking above street level. If this tower follows similar progress to EAP, the core should start to rise really quickly.

I imagine the elevator shafts will be pouring soon if they haven't already.

Hopefully $65 oil doesn't put a damper on this project.

I doubt anything would change now that it is already well into construction. I'm not sure anything would have changed even if it wasn't already, as Cenovus would likely have wanted the tower anyhow. The people taking this tower will be mostly admin and oil is still a long term thing, even when the price is low.

Well, Brookfield has very deep pockets and they are pretty far into construction. I can't see this one not going ahead...most of the projects that stalled in 08/09 were situations where the developer didn't have the financial resources to continue. This isn't the case with Brookfield.

Then again, with this boffo world we live in, nothing would surprise me.

Lack of Interest?

As the next "tallest building in Canada outside of Toronto" this building doesn't seem to be getting much attention! The building core is already well above grade. Is it the traditional (aka boring?) construction technique (and design) compared to The Bow??
