But it blends in well with the Shell station next door, which btw looks awfully close to the residential tower.

Even among yellows, Dangerously Close Gas Station Yellow wouldn't be my first choice.

At least they tried to make it funky and interesting, unlike some projects...

This is still inside the Austin city limits, but barely. It's a 10-story hotel tower addition to the Omni resort on Barton Creek. I never realized this place existed.

Looks like Pflugerville is bringing a new retailer to the area.

Living Spaces furniture will open up it's first Texas location next year.

That is huge. Not sure how large IKEA is but I assume this is larger?

I drive by the construction site everyday and I can tell you it's so big, you can't see the end of the other side looking from Heatherwilde. I can also see that access is going to be interesting especially leaving the center and wanting to go north on Heatherwild to get back to TR45. But HS, land is getting gobbled up around here. All the large tracts of land are being developed. 20 years ago, I built my house on what was once the middle of nowhere and the closest intersection was a 4 way stop sign with a tiny Texaco station with a Mr Gattis next to it. The Forest Creek golf course and neighborhoods were there, but isolated. And we still don't have a freakin McDonalds or Burger King anywhere near me.

Genral, very sorry to hear about McDonalds and Burger King. I personally never eat there, but I can tell they both mean a lot to you. Hang in there, bro.

This development is seriously huge from the sound of it. I bet this will spur on a lot more development on the empty tracts along 45 and 130 in that area, on top of all the stuff that is already happening!

I still would love to see more height in the 130/45 area, the 35/45 area, and the 45/Mopac area. These intersections all have some space (either empty or begging for redevelopment) that would be good for more height. At least let's see some Domain-type height if not more.

Just west of 35/45 there is some height in and around LaFrontera, but nothing like the Domain. The 130/45 connection in Pflugerville is home to a sprawling strip center with more on the way including a new Costco. I'm actually losing my taste for fast food, but when I do crave one of the two I mentioned, I settle for what's closer, Jack in a Box, or Sonic.
Since I've long ago accepted the amazing growth east of 35 in the Round Rock / Pflugerville area, I'm hoping we see similar offerings like the ones around Ikea.

About the same size as the Nebraska Furniture Mart in the Dallas area

I've seen that one. Massive building. I don't know how the square footage compares, but to me it makes the Ikea by Stonebriar Mall look small.

About a month ago, we were informed about Living Furniture coming to Pflugerville. They just started turning dirt about that time. As of now, huge foundations have been poured and construction on the buildings is on its way. This complex is going up really quick. There are signs on the east side of Heatherwilde and Toll Road 45 telling of more retail coming soon. Just came back from the ever expanding Stone Hill Center, and I can tell you the construction activity in this neck of the woods is amazing. As Downtown Austin grows taller, Pflugerville is gobbling up and developing horizontally. Not bad for a small town of less than 100K. What I like about Pflugerville's sprawl over Round Rock's is that all the development is pretty much compacted from 685 and Pecan St. north to the 45 / 130 intersection, and now just a few miles west on 45 to Heatherwilde. All the major retail centers are accessable using 45 and 130, and 685 south from there to Pecan, (1825).
