Another thing, after looking at more of the pictures for those "theme park" proposals, does anyone else get the feeling all they did was take everything from Las Vegas, DisneyLand, DisneyWorld, Epcot Center, MGM Studios, Hollywood, Busch Gardens, Valley Fair, etc... and whore them all together to get the 165 million sq/ft park proposed?

For example isn't this one of the characters from Ants/A Bugs Life ?

Any how can you possibly have a Butterfly World? Are there that many interesting things that could constitute building something the size of the San Diego Zoo about butterflies?

I realize that it appears UAE and Dubai have buttloads of money, but at this point it appears they seem to be pissing it away...

or is putting the word "World" the new hip thing to do?

Do you know how lame Las Vegas would be if they took this approach?

Poker World
Craps World
Blackjack World
Stripper World
Roller Coaster World
Historical Replica World
Instant Wedding World
Club World
Pool World
Hotel World

That's only a preliminary thing, am sure it'll be named differently when the individual projects are built

Amazing - so many projects in Dubai for me to keep up

A very smart move for the UAE to stay within the same living standards after the vanish of oil

I have bought a house in Dubai and I'm going to move over there within the next year

PS. Dubai will be packed with tourists in the winter times cus it's too hot in the summer

With all the colored lights amusement parks have, it will definitely glow in the dark.

This area of Dubai seems like total chaos to me. Very amateuristic.
All they have now is some land and an idea...a concept. Nothing more.

All the models are crap. "We'll have dolphins here, volcano coaster there, butterflies in that corner, video games over there, etc." But no concrete plans, nothing.
