I wouldn't call that the "countryside". I'd simply say the suburbs.

It's an interesting picture.
The Stade de France is visible behind the Sacré Coeur.

Stunning. Seeing pictures like these, I get the feeling mankind can't do any better at designing a city. I'm always blown away at how dense the city looks.

Was at Tour Montparnasse several years ago! The best thing is that you can actually see the Eiffel tower.

I'm actually eating at the restaurant on top of this tower in a few weeks. Can't wait!

Are there plans to renovate/re-clad them?

Everyone hates Tour Montparnasse...it's hard to ignore but Centre Pompidou makes my soul hurt.

Still, fabbo photos.

I don't get the hate for Tour Montparnasse, it's a simple and quite elegant tower that fits paris perfectly, it also offers the best views of the center of the city.

i wouldn't go as far as elegant, but it is inoffensive in and of itself. and of course it doesn't fit, but that was the point. otherwise, i don't get the hate either. certainly these views more than make up for the, err, gall it took to build it. i would think everyone is glad they clamped down on building more though, that is for sure. anyway some views and great thread!
