According to the official website (http://www.destinationyul.com/), the Grand Opening is this Saturday, September 28th!!
This project looks like it has a lot of potential. I hope they get some shovels in the ground as soon as possible.

I like better the fact that we have 2 x 38 floor towers instead of just one. But I agree with you, the old design was quite interesting...

This has to go through. We have been waiting for Overdale since the stillborn 80s project which saw the block razed.

Can't say I'm surprised by the failure of the YUL as of now.

Oh well, maybe now they can convert the second tower in rental apartments and keep working hard on the first one. Otherwise, nothing else will save this project. Like Molson said, this project must go up.

Hmm, 1% a month isn't exactly terrific growth. At this rate it will take over a year to reach 50%.

I still expect it to be built, perhaps sales will improve in the spring.

I just deleted a few off-topic posts. Please don't bring politics into these threads.

With regards to my comment about the sales improving in the spring, I was referring to cyclical trends. Spring tends to be the strongest time of the year for home sales. November through January tends to be the weakest.

Very Interesting, it really show sales hit their apogee at the end of spring and beginning of summer

Anyone know what the status is of this one? Are they still going forward with the project, and if so will they be building both towers, or just one with the second one to be built at a later date?

Still 45% sold, they said they'd begin prep work in September but now that might be pushed back...

Even though I liked the old design better, it's still good to see some action on this one.
