But Fortress Capital is simply acting as sales agent, selling pieces of the project to individual investors (This is not uncommon.)

Well Gardens on Rose was announced more than a year (I think it was closer to 2 years) before Capital Pointe and work is finally starting there...

I think it's also important to note that on the Fortress Capital website, Capital Pointe is listed in the past offerings page, where it says:

"These projects have completed raising monies for the offerings made available. They are now in the process of active development and are moving forward."

Anyway... back to the topic at hand... I went on a short bike ride tonight... progress:

and a distance crane shot:

These were taken with a cellphone, so I apologise for the quality not being impeccable.

Well then, let's up the ante and make it three cranes. Maybe there will be four or five cranes -- wouldn't that be cool!

I don't know why all you people are making these ridiculous speculations. None of you really know when - or if - the Capital Pointe project will ever get built. It was announced in the summer of 2009, so we're getting close to three years now and still nothing. What are you clinging to?

Really it's time to let go. If this tower doesn't get built, so what, there will be plenty more to come.

Actually I've heard some positive things recently about this project. Although I can't confirm 100% (who can?), I'm more confident in the project now then I have been in a while.

Their facebook page has quite a few photos as well as a video of the tank being positioned.

At 5:30 pm Graham Construction was busy pouring concrete for the ramp between the 2nd and 3rd levels of underground parking. Other than this ramp, they appear to be done the 4th, 3rd and 2nd levels of underground parking. At this pace they'll be at ground level very soon.

Elite Formworks has been moving pretty fast on this project for Graham Construction. The completion date for this project is scheduled for January, last I heard.
