I don't see the Plains weather vein in this render. I hope they still plan on incorporating it!

Weather vane.

The new render is not bad; however, the one here possesses a smooth appearance with regards to the balconies.

The weather vane does appear in the latest rendering (assuming that the latest version is the one on their website http://capital-pointe.ca ). It's still on the corner of the building, sitting on the ledge at the fourth floor level. In this rendering it is same colour as the wall behind it so it doesn't stand out. I am sure the developer wishes they didn't have to utilize it in the new building. I don't know why they just don't put it on the roof of the new hotel as it would be much more visible from further away.

I'd second that - for the rooftop position; that would look great!!!

I don't really care about the weather vane. Seems kind of strange what with everyone having a phone now and being able to open a weather network app.

It has nothing to do with being able to tell what the weather is going to be like. It's about preserving a piece of Regina's history. In other news, Capital Pointe has requested an easement over our back parking lot at work to run electrical cable and have a transformer box built. They want the work to begin as soon as possible.

They are just waiting on a permit to release the announcement.

^Are you referring to elapsed time or capital pointe time? From this day forward all times must be given with the prefix of the unit involved. RPT or CPT.

RPT = real person time, where one hour equals one hour and one week is one week
CPT = capial pointe time. One hour in CPT equals approximately equivalen to guaging time in FYOT (Four-Year Old Time) in which one minute seems to take hours and one week is approximately 1.32873 months (but that is an approximation)

If you are saying that it is impossible to guage how long six weeks in CPT would be, you would be correct.

I was being sarcastic since they always seem to be waiting for permits and keep blaming the city for hold ups. :p

Well, it's been 5 years and 1 month since I first saw this proposal. (At the time, as a 19-storey-tall structure.)
