Incredible how at 800 ft, this won't make an iota of a difference.

I think the city is just getting warmed up. This boom is just a warm up. We still have the Midtown East Rezoning to look forward too.

First Peek Inside Ceruzzi Properties/SMI's Underway Midtown Skyscraper
April 17, 2017
Quote:
In December, we reported that 138 East 50th Street, a new 62-story condo in the heart of Midtown East, has begun its 803-foot-high climb. We also showed you images of the glass-and-terracotta façade mock-up designed by Pelli Clarke Pell Architects with Permasteelisa Group. Now, the project’s co-developer, Ceruzzi Properties, has published a handful of new renderings of the tower’s entryway, lobby and swimming pool.

More DETAILS here.

I walked by recently, and it looks very tall from the street. It has to be very close to topping out.

I don't mind. I've noticed this a lot in S.Florida real estate renderings that they always have the pools, with Victoria Secret models walking around. This is not the case in real life. Unless your at a P.Diddy or Jay-Z party.

And besides, if she needs to get past her, she simply brushes up against her to get to the other side while the guy with the sunglasses watches from afar. I see nada wrong with that scenario.

^Who knows, they might even strike up a conversation and eventually kiss. Giggity.

Although, lounging on a beach towel in this dimly lit room looks ridiculous. As for the development itself, I like it a lot. Love the stepped back facade a la many 1920s-era towers nearby.

Most of new renders are ridiculous and out of touch with reality. Perfect people in a perfect world a la Second Life. American Dream 2.0.

800' in this exact spot is extremely conspicuous.

Happily, this tower's design makes it a good thing.

Inicdentally, I do hope we get an update on 425 Park nearby.

I mention that becuase this tower just reminds me of it in terms of presence and simple elegance.
