This view looks like a hotel that would fit right in on Red River around 8th or 9th.

Keep in mind that angle we're seeing isn't street facing. It's facing two alleyways. So this is honestly better at this angle than those hotels over in that area....

Its a bit sterile and hospitalish looking but I only have hate for 801 Barton Springs. This is a purpose built building that at least isn't trying to be cool, like 801 Barton Springs. And it wouldn't even be a blip on the Austin tour of hideous buildings, like 801 Barton Springs would be. But I agree, it's a valid comparison to Jester, just like a bowel movement is to 801 Barton Springs.

Hey Genral, you really ought to check out this new modern building that they're putting up on Barton Springs. I can't recall the street number, but if you go that way you can't miss it!

Hey guys, I don't know if I ever mentioned this before and I know its off topic, but I don't care much for 801 BS. Oh, did that just happen? The abbreviation coinciding with my opinion of it??

Not crazy about the poverty siding, but I like the building. The word that comes to my mind is colossal.

I am usually not a negative guy - but this looks like soviet housing finished off with slightly garish and awkward wrapping paper. The word that comes to my mind is "hulking".

This one and several other West Campus developments, in my opinion.

Leaving space for future competition to enter the area with a better focus on design. This area is amazing though I'm offended by the amount of onsite parking that is still required for UNO. DT has zero requirements--why we haven't done the same here is beyond me. Ready for our land development code to catch up with the times.

Not sure why but this building or at least this angle and color reminds me of something Youd see in one of the Burroughs of NYC or something out of Chicago, Detroit or any of the rust belt cities.
