1818 Market is undergoing some renovations. IBX also had some work going on, but I could not get a picture of it:

Also, work has begun on the eastern portion of The Gallery (Gallery II?):

Not to sound like J, Jonah Jameson here but the stories about a building. I need a picture of the building. And maybe a few of that criminal spiderman.

Thank you! Being able to live, learn, and be closer to Philadelphia area business people in order to network, along with Fox's reputation, are all reasons I ended up leaving the Lehigh Valley and transferring to Temple! Classes start on my 21st birthday (August 29th), but I am still beyond excited!

That makes a lot of sense! I have been seeing this for the last two weeks. Last night, however, it seems to have picked up tremendously. I also saw sidewalks being redone.

An interesting tidbit from Philly Business Journal article today about Camden:

Quote:
PATCO, the high-speed train line that runs between local stops in South Jersey and Philadelphia, has two stations in Camden and plans have been in the works to connect the train to 30th Street Station.
Hmmm... would be amazing for Camden. I recall from the 30th Street Station district plan, in the section about Station improvements, it noted the potential for a future expansion of the underground concourse (in addition to the one the document itself outlines) south towards the IRS building. That would make sense as the landing point for PATCO over there.

speaking of the gallery, a recent article about PREIT possibly being acquired mentioned that the state still has not granted them the $30M requested and no tenants would be announced until a determination was made on the RACP grant. Not sure what that means. I thought the money would go towards making the final product better from a materials and amenities standpoint, not determine the quality of tenants.

This would be great. I have a small correction, there are 3 stations in Camden, City Hall, Broadway, and Ferry Ave.

Nice buy of Penn Mutual Towers in Washington Square:

http://philly.curbed.com/2016/6/30/1...on-square-sold

I wonder what type of retail will go there? I don't believe the footprint is big. But with 500 Walnut next to it, the renovations to the Curtis Center, and other changes in the area, it's a high end clientele around there.

it think more retail would be a huge hit around there- there isn't much in the area right now.

And I love how they built Campbell’s and are building Subaru in a suburban campus away from either stop. Great fail on the planning front. Imagine both Subaru and Cambells’ in high-rises in downtown proper? The kicker is that NJ is funding the move with tax payers dollars to move from a suburban location in Cherry Hill to a suburban location in Camden. Great job guys!

You gotta compromise, I imagine it was tough enough as is to to get them to commit to Camden long term. The guys making decisions at these companies are probably not into urban planning

Hopefully they open a restaurant or something on the top floor (70's building). That used to be an observation deck at one time with it's own glass elevator....

Definitely. And shadowbot, agree. I'd love to see a restaurant at the top levels.

The mural is cool. But somehow, the overall gestalt of that shot still reminds me of a murder scene...maybe one in a back alley in Vegas...
