The ground level of Le Peterson looks horrible next to C-Lofts, but at least it's only tucked away on the most invisible street downtown.
C-Lofts deserved a more major street simply due to the high ceilings at ground level. I could see it on De Maisonneuve or a side street - perhaps where the ill-fated Triomphe/Muse Condos was supposed to be.
peterson could have done something great by adding a restaurant space at grade, sort of like mayor street's "rhythm" condos. ducking into a side street to eat is a nice thing and montreal has some of the nicest side streets in canada.
In the weeks since, the undulating curves of the tower's floorplates have become apparent from numerous angles, most notably from the base of the structure on Rue de la Concorde. This design element of ribbon-like balconies is being hailed as the first of its kind in Montreal, a city that is beginning to embrace more daring architectural aesthetics.
To answer Mousquet, I like density too, but the corners of de la Concorde street with Burke and Bleury streets are rather creepy, and I just hope that the neighbourhood will be ok security-wise.... there are also many homeless people in the area... only time will tell...
