Nice shot! It's looking West over Arlington. Spy Pond is on the left and the Mystic Lakes are on the right. There's a great skyline view from the complex in the upper middle, just right of center. That's called Hattie Symmes Park, and the location used to be a hospital before it was converted to residential. Also yes, those are small mountains in the background. They start pretty quickly when heading North or West.

I love Uptown. There's also a lot of Uptown on the other side of the freeway. At least I think it's part of Uptown. Lots of talls on the other side, for sure.

Most of the Uptown Houston skyline shot with both sides of 610.... its missing some more buildings that are to the right and left of this image but the shot captured the majority of Uptown's skyline.

It will look even better after the McNair Campus is built...

I think that sort of place would make me appreciate tunnels. Good pics though.

There is a significant pedway system and subway through the Downtown core.

Thrilled that Edmonton has a tall tower at last (have family there). But looks like Winnipeg to me. Maybe the city has 12 more talls in the oven, other wise I think Calgary is safe in the skypage olympics.
