Garage apartment rentals or incidental income while out of town are obviously different, but in 2019 I don't think most people trust Air BNBers in their actual home. I did it one time when the service was new because I was out of town during SXSW and my neighbor said we had at least 20 people flopped in the house and while they didn't break anything, it was really disgusting when we came home.

Couldn't tell at least from I35. Could see the crane base at Nativo though.

Just overheard an supporter advertisement on NPR from 44 East. Said now under construction.... Well if you call an empty building that still needs to be demolished then I'd say they are on track lol.

I went by this morning and there is a lot of stuff going on that little section of East Ave. with 44 East and Natiivo.

11/27/19 - Not much action. Crane is on 48 East site.

EDIT: Nevermind, the construction I'm seeing is Natiivo, not 44 East.

If you are getting confused, there is no hope for me. The number of projects in Austin now is just amazing.

Too bad there isn't anything over 1000 ft.

I'm worried that if we don't get that during this boom, we'll have to wait another 20 years for some actually tall buildings.

Considering the size of our city I think everything we are getting is pretty impressive. 1000ft+ towers to me require a lot of investment and I can’t think of one a in a city our size?

It might take some kind of tourist observation tower to punch through that "psychological" architecture barrier in Austin.

Charlotte, OKC, and Seattle all have buildings close-ish to 1000'. But beyond that, the closest city with an actual 1000' tower is SF and Miami, which are both quite a bit bigger metropolitan areas.

Yeah I was aware of those. If 6x completes at 848 were in the same categories as those close-ish cities. So we are doing fine in my opinion.
