yeah, the East River 50s Alliance have successfully rendered the workers jobless and turned away developers from pursuing new housing in the neighborhood.

A decent filler that I feel will be under the radar.

this will be more than filler; hence why the NIMBYs frivolously rezoned the entire neighborhood. It will probably have a similar presence to 8 Spruce, but it's skinnier.

This will actually dominate the immediate area. This will roughly be the height of the Trump World Tower, right next to the Queensboro Bridge.

I hate to be the one who bumps a thread, but can someone stop by and get updates on this one?

It must be getting pretty tall since the last update on Feb 10th. Amazing that an 844 foot tower is flying so under the radar

I visited the big apple last month and strolled by this tower. The architecture in NYC always amazes me (so different from what we have in Minnesota, both in terms of design and zoning). It truly is inspiring.

It would be interesting to see how 3 Sutton Place looks once completed - although I've heard a few community groups (ERFA, etc) continue to oppose construction. I'm sure they have their good & valid reasons to oppose the tower; however as someone who works with a lot of new construction, I do look forward to seeing how the completed project turns out.
