Has anyone been by recently to see the progress on this? Has been over a month since I was in that area, would imagine to see foundation work underway?

They do not have a finalized site plan agreement yet, so they cannot apply for building permits. Site prep can begin before all of this though (asphalt removal, etc.)

Excavation now about 3 meters deep. I believe there is 2 levels of underground parking so would expect the pit to go deeper yet before sinking pilings. The York Street rebuild is likely having a big impact on this work as getting equipment and trucks into site is restricted.

3 Levels of underground parking, plus another level for a massive raft slab. Much more digging to be done. The rain and soft soils have slowed down the process - lots of sinking excavators.

Steel bracing in corners installed but no extra depth yet to the pit. On bright side York St now has base coat of paving installed as sidewalks and curbs continue.

Alot of progress on deepening the pit. May have now reached 3 floors deep now with another set of steel bracing installed. Would expect the pilings for the footings to be starting soon. Also would expect the footings for a tower crane to be poured in the near future as well.

Have been installing horizontal cable bracing into pit walls the last few weeks.

They have reached bottom and are finishing up the pit walls. Would expect footings to be starting after that.

Not much progress lately. Alot of standing water in pit. Must be issue to use pumps to drain the swimming pool.

Still little progress onsite. Don't appear to be working today.

Brought back an auger drill machine to site. Appear to be lining the caisson pilings of the pit.

I'm no construction expert, but Tricar and Old Oak seem to be significantly faster builders than York. How do they not have a crane up on this site yet?

Don't believe so. Don't even think they have footings done although the auger drill machine may be going into the pit to drill the pilings for footings.

York is the builder on Fanshawe west and look how slow those have been.
