Mistakes of the past. Time to cease repeating them. We are also talking about a new, major development here.

Yeah, too soon to say what else will emerge to solidify Graham.

It's just imperative that all these developments interact well with Graham, and have lots of storefront space. Let's make the term "Graham Mall" not seem ridiculous.

Popped into the new Tim's at CentrePoint today... looks nice, a bit more of a Starbucks vibe than the typical Tim's. Very little seating though, more of a grab 'n g place.

I didn't have my phone with me so I couldn't snap a photo, but on the south wall there's a big colourful mural showing some street names in the area... somehow Hargrave Street became "Harvest Street".

Browns Social House signage is up, patio railing installed and I saw patio furniture stacked up, must be opening soon.

Does anyone know when Glasshouse will open up the CRU for something other than a sales centre? Given that the place is mostly sold and there are units for potential buyers to see, I wonder what the chances are of seeing something a little more interesting in there.

It's a beautiful space from the outside, but unfortunately it's marred somewhat by the block-deadening presence of the parkade to the north.

Garages belong underground. Screw the extra costs.

yeah, we've beat it to death - but that parkade will haunt the city and that stretch (and glasshouse residents) for decades. It's gonna be the one marred spot in Longboat/TN's already impressive portfolio.

It's a great parkade. My truck fits in it....very roomy.

I do not mind that it is a parkade; I do mind that it LOOKS like one.

I honestly don't even care that it looks like one (although they should add more decorative panels, looks half-assed), I mind that it takes up half a block with no street-level activity on Hargrave or Ellice. 80% of the Bedford parkade looks like a parkade, and I don't mind it because you easily forget when you see 3 bustling businesses on the main floor.

They can't all look like the Fort Garry Place parkade.

Crime in a parkade!
That is wrong on so many levels.

Every building on every block in downtown cannot support retail. Not sure why this is difficult to grasp.

In this case, the parkade is cold, and does not contribute to a good pedestrian environment, unlike:

The Centrepoint parkade is just tremendous. It has so much room. No other parkade has as much room as the Centrepoint parkade. It's tremendous because there's so much room. #MAGA

It's funny though because it's actually true.

--

Dream scenario here, that actually makes a lot of sense:

The Burt is doing really well for True North, and they have lots of plans for gradual reno's and expansion... Would love to see them take over the horrendous Enterprise lot or at least redevelop it in some way... They should get Enterprise in the main floor CRU of Glasshouse (also owned by TN), then they can keep their cars tucked away in the Centrepoint parkade. With direct access to the Alt, and Radisson across the street, it'd be smart.
