Here are a few updates of projects going on downtown. All of these pics were taken by Shavethewhales and I copied them from the TulsaNow Forum.

OKPOP Museum

Davenport Urban Lofts

WPX Headquarters - So this project has had an interesting twist. WPX is/was bought out by Devon Energy and everything is moving to OKC. So far anyway, they have committed to finishing this project as presented. Not sure who will eventually occupy this building. I guess as of now, it is spec office space.

Was downtown this morning and took some pics of the projects going on in the Arts District. I also snagged a few of the Otasco site development, which is in the Blue Dome District at 2nd and Cincinnati.

The Annex?

Whatever became of The Annex that was supposed to go on the PAC parking lot? Is that officially dead?

Cool Photo! I love that tower in the far background on the left. I would like to see more of that standard of design today. The element detailing and crown are so classy.

Isn't one of these buildings in the picture the same architect of the Twin Towers?

As far as I know it is still active. It still shows up on Flaherty and Collins' website as coming soon.

That's the Mid-Continent Tower. Originally, it was the 16 story Cosden Building built in 1918. Then in 1984 they added an additional 20 stories and cantilevered it over the original Cosden Building. You can read more about it here.

Yes, the tallest one in the foreground that resembles a miniature twin tower. It was designed by Minoru Yamasaki & Associates, the same architect as the World Trade Center towers. Find out more here.

Yeah, I've seen that... but having ben seeing "coming soon" on their site for several years, I'm not convinced it means much.

There was a bit of scuttlebutt about the Annex on the TulsaNow forum. Check out SXSW's post with timestamp February 09, 2021, 03:31:08 pm and then LandArchPoke's post immediately following. As of the posting of this, those were the two last comments in that particular thread.

Great pics of my hometown. Haven't been back since I graduate college in 2014, but glad the Brady Arts District is still booming.

I'm guessing so or at the very least much delayed due to the pandemic.

Here's a snowy shot of the Gathering Place with downtown in the background. From our recent very very unpleasant, never want to live through it again, cold snap.
