I also would have expected Audi to remove the trees between them and the highway for maximum exposure, although it may be that they their lot does not extend to the highway.

Construction has started on what looks to be a large apartment complex with underground parking.

This is on Aquatique st. near the aquatic centre.

Looks like this is the St-Germain phase 3 according to this plan.

http://villageondieppeblvd.ca/developments/?lang=en

They have a new development plan which includes a 10-story building and lots of retail space.

Those are new renders of the "Village on Dieppe Blvd". Very impressive concept.

I wonder what the chances are of actually seeing the 10 storey anchor condo project being developed? It would be great, but there is just so much capacity being added to the market right now that one has to wonder about the viability of this project, especially given the renewed emphasis on downtown Dieppe, the downtown east side of Moncton and around the new events centre.........

The village on Dieppe blvd is a nice concept and all and I wish them well, but I wouldn't want this area to develop at the expense of both Moncton's and Dieppe's downtowns.

It's the best kind of sprawl we could hope for, but it's still sprawl. With both cities' cores being physically so close to each other, there is so much potential for synergy. I hope to one day see both downtowns merge into a single urban core for the whole metro area. Still a long way to go but it is possible and we're very slowly headed in that direction.

According to CBC, the new refrigerated skating oval behind Dieppe city hall will be open by Christmas.

I don't think the Village on Dieppe Blvd will build up to much more unless the demand is there. I checked there site a few days ago, and there are still several units for lease.

That is good news but still going to keep my fingers crossed ti'll then since anything could happen that could cause a delay.

Nothing major, but the Codiac Plaza on Paul St is getting a coat of orange paint. A decent update from the street, but still a very dated building IMO. I know one of the business owners in the building had plans years ago to convert the whole building into a hotel, but with many popping up now those plans are shelved.

A PEI restaurant and hospitality chain has acquired its third Metro Moncton property, buying the Quality Inn Airport hotel on Dieppe Boulevard.

This is the 10th hotel property that DP Murphy Hotel & Resorts has acquired, with three in Metro Moncton including the Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton and the Four Points by Sheraton, both near Mapleton Road in Moncton.

I will say it's nice to see them back in the Mall it means the holidays are right around the corner.

I'm so use to seeing them set up in the corridor by Walmart that it's a little strange to see them in an actual store.

I believe it's an apartment building, not a condo development.

Interesting photo showing the current status of both the WinGate Hotel and the VimSoft Building in downtown Dieppe.

Are there 2 locations? Because today they were in front of Walmart, where they've been for years.

I've seen them have 2 locations before; usually a smaller kiosk setup with just the calendars and if they can get a popup storefront, they'll go in there for the full selection and games.

As far as I can tell, they aren't in Freddy yet. Regent Mall has no empty slots for popup stores this XMas, and CC hasn't started assembling their kiosk yet. Probably after tonight (Hallowe'en) the mall will start XMas decorating and Calendar Club will pop up.

Hopefully they are getting close to opening as the signage is going up at Sky Zone on Champlain street.

Lakeburn Baseball field.

Hello Everyone!

I've been browsing for a few months and you seem to be on top of things when it comes to new developments.

Anyone have any idea what's going on with the baseball field in Lakeburn?

Seems like there was a bid for work and it was won a few months back but no news after that.
