Approved unanimously.

Great news and addition. 440 Condo Units is a huge boost in residential choices in the Saskatoon market.

Is this the one that the blue hairs are opposed to because it's too Toronto for Saskatoon?

This is the one. Although Council ignored the blue hairs and approved the rezoning.

What's the big deal anyways. Looks like there's a lot of apartments around there already. It's a shopping mall. Looks good.

Yup, it's the very worst kind of NIMBY-ism.

Approval from the City is a good first step, but there's still a lot of work to do to ensure that the numbers work to build a 440 unit condo complex in Saskatoon. Regardless of the press releases, I wouldn't be holding my breath for a groundbreaking in Spring 2017. Just being a cynical old guy.

I had a GC send me a recent MERX solicitation for this project, with all the building specs for all 3 towers. Not sure why they would solicit a project that has been scrapped for over a month.

It's too bad, really. I know a lot of people that are looking for work right now.
Thread title amended.
