Your post does have some validity to it. I'm sure folks in Pittsburgh felt that way as they built buildings like the US Steel Building or Cathedral of Learning, as did some Philadelphians recently when they built Comcast Center or even One and Two Liberty back in the '80s. I honestly thought it wouldn't blend in well at all with the rest of the skyline, but I like Comcast Center.
At first, I wasn't too sure One WTC would fit in, but as this tower nears completion, it definitely fits. While I do miss the Twin Towers, I am taking a liking to this building and look forward to its opening!
