Now there is something you don't see in Winnipeg every day!

People using public transit!

HAHA! Now that's something.

I have the Henderson line elevated along the Disraeli. I don't know if that's sufficient, but it'd be cheaper than submerging it, anyway.
Elevating it may hinder the redevelopment of Point Douglas. The whole system would be light rail with dedicated corridors. Most of the corridors are either rail corridors or boulevard corridors where two lanes in the middle of the street are taken.

Here's a map I made of all the corridors. Corridors Map

nice concept but it should go further up regent not just turn and end on that rail line.....

the one that goes down pemida should go all the way down to the floodway gate and turn back

the line going up portage hmm run it all the way to the race track for the ex and race events

and dispite the hatred towards waverly west we should have a line that goes out there...

I dunno, with the station right there I can't see if being much different from submerged rail.

You'd pedestrianize that much of Sargent? Ambitious. It'd be pretty cool to run streetcars down a street like that closed off to traffic, though.

I find it funny how you guys are coming up with this whole Map layout for RT. Looks like you guys are really putting in the time and effort on this.

You going to have this system implemented anytime soon?

Are you doing it over a cuban and some cognac........

Something a little more green considering what day it is.

I actually planned out most of this as part of school project. I've been continually modifying it since

I guess that would be up to the mods if there is enough posts to warrant it as a true sticky.

How this become a sticky in the first place is far beyond me... maybe someone slipped the mods a cool 20... but this thread is definatly not worthy of any sticky status.

It would have fallen off the page a while ago if it were aloud to die with honour.

Please mods .. this should have never been a sticky to begin with .. there is no reason for it to be a stucky. This is no active news in regards to Winnipeg getting any form of rapid transit.. it is has only turned into a place where I can make fun at this rediculous sticky form by posting the stupidest forms of transit on earth.

Please remove the sticky status.. please. This is only imbarassing Winnipeg.

It should never have been a sticky to begin with.... this is so far from being worthy of being a sticky. There are atleast 20 real projects which are way more worthy..... unless imaginary fantasies have become the new qualification.
In which case could we please have another sticky for worlds tallest tower(WPG)?

I can't believe anyone thinks this thread should be even close to sticky status. If it gets enough attention it will remain near the top of the forum, otherwise it will fall. Its that simple. If it weren't for me posting on this joke .. it would be on page two by now.

Winnipeg has no rapid transit .. it has no immediate plan for rapid transit... there is no news concerning this subject .. nobody has posted anything close the subject of Winnipeg and any form of rapid transit for weeks... other than some funny posts, which are really bored fillers.

Please remove the sticky status and let this sad thread live or die on its own volition.
