Here it is coming out of the Walmart on Baseline/Merivale a few days ago:

So they're apparently deleting entire cars out of the StreetView images now.

In late June 2019 (i.e. less than a month ago) I was driving I-44 in Missouri and passed a Google Earth car at exactly mileage marker 42.2.

https://www.google.com/maps/@37.0760...7i16384!8i8192

I was all excited to see the new imagery was uploaded so quickly.. then I found the mileage marker and my car and I are nowhere to be found

Though there are some cars in the distance, and opposite direction... I can assure you the highway was "a lot" more crowded than it appears in the above link.

They either weren't capturing anything at the time you passed the Streetview car or they made another round later on and used that content instead. I don't believe that Google removes the traffic on the road.

What's with the penguin painted on the shoulder? Did you paint it to mark the spot where you were (almost) captured?

Yeah... I suppose. If you follow the car far up and down the highway, there are almost no cars in front or behind it. Judging by the position of the sun, looks like late morning.. which was pretty much the time I was there. Highway was pretty busy.

I'd also be surprised if they removed complete cars... oh well.

Possibly an ad for the Penguin Highway (2018) movie

Google Maps has 3D views of Ottawa, but many other cities do not.
Ottawa Parliament vs Washington Capitol.

Washington has it for its suburbs, it’s just the downtown area that doesn’t have it. I imagine the US government voiced security concerns about having it in 3D - which is really a shame.

Still getting imagery

I saw the Google Street View car today in the Carling/Maitland area and a family member saw it on Greenbank south of Baseline.

I saw it on the westbound Queensway near Maitland one day last week.

This thread bores me... but I saw the Google car parked in the Harvey's/Burrito Gringo lot at the corner of Bronson and Catherine around 1pm today.

I wonder when google suppressed 3D imagery of downtown DC? Last time I was there on Google maps, it was available.

I saw a Google car in Bells Corners today. The driver was taking a break and I had a chat with him. He is pretty much done the entire city now and the shots taken this week should be online in 2 months.

Where in Bells Corners is that? Loblaws/Zellers parking lot.?

I saw the car near Shawarma Palace on Tuesday near Bayshore and at Woodroffe/Carling in the McDonalds parking lot about a week ago. I remember talking to a driver about 7 years ago. Lots of interesting stories. They got told by Google HQ when to pull in due to dim light/rain etc.

My street was last done in October 2015 one week before I sold my previous car.

Yes that was in the Loblaws parking lot. Your street will probably be updated as he said he’s done every single street in the city over the past 4 months. So I am assuming he is the only driver. My street was also last updated in 2015.

The "Transit" option has been added for Ottawa on Google Maps. The tunnel alignment between Parliament and uOttawa is a little off (as it is in most other cities), but good to see. Seems it was also recently added in Edmonton, but not Calgary.

Cool! But it's pretty lame how BRT doesn't "count" as transit. They should show the SE Transitway and the West Transitway at least from Tunney's to Baseline.

It looks like Google has released the latest Streetview imagery taken during the period of all the camera car sightings last September.

Thanks...the image of me where I'm sitting in my car on a street in the west end waving to the car is there now...I'm blurred out and so are my licence plates. Many areas have September 2019 imagery and there are lot of prime dandelion (May 2019) images out there as well.
