Not great photo evidence, but there are several pink 'X' marks that truck has been following today (red arrows point to X locations). Perhaps boring is related to central core of building as location of X's appear to overlap with location of core.

Since my post got deleted last night along with a bit of other off-topicness:

I have heard from someone who works across the river that river wall construction will be starting very soon (they are bracing themselves for the sheet pile driving).

I wonder if first building the river wall for 150 Riverside Tower is necessary because there is no way to get construction material to the site from Canal Street on the west. Create the wall. Then, float in and tie up barges with the material.

Construction of the River Point Tower can be accomplished with deliveries coming in via Canal Street.

With River Point, Wolf Point, the south bank Riverwalk build-out and 150 Riverside all under construction this summer (not to mention the water taxis and tour boats), it should get a little crowded on the River.

^I wouldn't be surprised if the vegetation growing at the edge has damaged the wall.

They will probably just build a dirt ramp down from Randolph to bring equipment/materials in.

^^^ I wonder if they won't just grab a section of sidewalk as a staging area and then lift the materials right into the site? I assume that both this building and 444 W Lake will have double cranes which should only make the effect of the massive construction binge at the confluence that much more exciting.

the River Point construction cam angle has been moved down a bit and gives a much better view of wolf point and 150 N Riverside sites

Not sure if it's just my phone, but the links in all three threads do not open.

Nice contributions to the NY threads, JMT. I think the above link was posted incorrectly. The new view is excellent.

That worked, and thanks! It was too quick of a trip, but tried to make the most of it.

Awesome. Very excited for this tower. The river canyon is slowly losing all its high profile gaps.

Can't wait to see this rise. A pretty massive tower with a very interesting base. I don't know whether I'm more excited to see the finished project or the construction of the slim base.

And so great to have the webcam to watch them. If the lens were a bit wider you could see Arcadia too.

What is the link for the webcam for this project? Or do you referring to the River Point cam?

So it's the webcam for River Point then? Got it.
