Ashley Higson with the GTSED says the sports complex will be quite large, "These will be tournament play fields that are going to be available for up to 200 teams at a time to play on."

The park will also feature a large retail shopping and entertainment district called Downtown Texas, "This is our secondary enteraintment and shopping area. It's going to consist of 450,000 sq. ft. of retail space and secondary entertainment space."

But the most anticipated portion of the park will be the Big River Water Park. Plans for the park were recently increased from 30 to 40 acres. Higson says the water park will be the first part of the park to open, "The water parks is expected to open in the spring of 2015."

It's a cute little park. Looks more interesting than a generic Six Flags but not as exciting, at least not yet. The smaller size of it makes me think it's much more likely to come into fruition.

Looks like what Six Flags over Texas used to be. The water cannon battlefield thing looks pretty fun.
