Amazing how deceiving a photograph or webcam can be. The above makes downtown look like it's far in the distance, but when seen from the loop with "real" eyes, downtown looks much, much closer and taller. I see that in a lot of photos of cities.

Sneak peek into Amegy Bank's new Houston headquarters
The site of the new Amegy Bank N.A. headquarters is bustling, as construction moves along toward its December 2016 completion date.
I had the chance to put my hard hat on and tour the site of the new building, which is located at 1717 W. Loop South on 4 acres of land and will stand at 350,000 square feet. It'll include 15 stories of office space and seven stories of parking. Amegy Bank will use 11 of the office floors to house around 500 employees and will lease the remaining four floors. No tenants have signed on to date.
