Now, for a bit of bad news... Devon just announced RECORD breaking losses for the quarter. Much worse than analysts had expected.

Not saying it's off, but for the first time, I have my doubts.

Record breaking losses can only mean one thing... more job cuts. That's not great for anyone

I wouldn't worry too much. Devon had only one bad quarter and with gas prices on the rise again, I'm sure they'll be in a good position going forward.

Also, this tower is aways off. This property is an important one for Brookfield. It'll get done; its only a matter of when.

I agree with you I think this one will be done as well. And also I think that this building would be a great addition to the skyline.

...and skinny.

It looks very disproportional.

Some new things about this tower.

-It will be adjacent to the Allen Center

http://media.corporate-ir.net/media_files/...AR_MD&A.pdf (pg. 7)

-There will be a skybridge connection to the Allen Center as well.

http://phx.corporate-ir.net/External.File?...GU9MQ==&t=1 (pg. 28)

-This tower will be constructed on whats now a surface lot thats not across I-45.

I dont know if i actually like the way the building looks in that rendering. Looks extremely geometric.

Still have to wait for that 50% lease for anything to move forward.

That rendering makes it appear as tall as Wells Fargo Plaza and the girth of Continental Center's width. A little disproportionate to what it'll likely look like.

Based on the perspective, it appears to be just shorter than Heritage Plaza, so about 750'. Probably about right...

That is a big brutal building, and fits right into the Houston skyline.

This render is more like the ghost of Five Allen Center, so you can see through it to the buildings it covers up. If it was a little to the left or right it would fill a gap. In that location, it's covering up one of the older members of the Houston "wall."
