The Republicans seem to be a boon to Cleveland development.

Does anyone know if there will be a cam set up to watch the renovation of Public Square?

Most of the projects currently under construction were already in the pipeline, but some of them are getting 'fast tracked'.

"Does anyone know if there will be a cam set up to watch the renovation of Public Square?"

Good question, I imagine there will be one, but I'll be sure to get some regular updates.

Hopefully they'll do things right the first time (unlike Euclid Corridor) and not just make it cosmetically acceptable for the convention.

Sorry for the frequent posts but I just found out, via their Twitter, that the Terminal Tower has a camera
set up to film the renovation of Public Square and it is awesome. It's live video too! Here's the link...

The West Shoreway is getting a really nice facelift! I used to run along the path next to Burke during my lunch hours. It was a good run, but this project will definitely lift it up even more.

Okay so I've been following the news for the past couple of weeks and noticed several projects that haven't been mentioned in the forum yet.

I think a bunch of new renderings might spark a discussion or something and hopefully we can keep this forum active. If I miss any key projects

it's most likely because I figured I post too much too often.

This is a redesign of the cafe on the renovation of Public Square.

Approved parklet to go in front of Noodlecat on Euclid Avenue, possibly more to come.

http://www.cleveland.com/architectur...n_is_comi.html

A 3 story building with first floor retail, second floor loft style offices, and third floor penthouse apartments called PIER 9. This would be located

just north of the Rock Hall. Another development next to Voinovich Park is a large restaurant with attached public restrooms and a volleyball court.

Projects to connect Cleveland with Lake Erie via biking paths, pedestrians bridges, and more greenery. Let the pictures articulate what I can't.

And a new Edgewater beach house designed by Bialosky + Partners Architects.

Also, this means that the Public Square Redevelopment picture should be changed to include the new cafe. The Museum of Natural History already broke ground and can be moved to the construction phase.

Yeah, I've been trying to add the newer projects when I can - thanks for those, I'll add them to the first page.

It's incredibly awesome that they put Keanu Reeves in this rendering:

The new renderings for Public Square look awesome! They actually bare a close resemblance to Klyde-Warren park here in downtown Dallas. It's a great example of urban park space that has multiple functions, and it generates a TON of foot traffic, which is always great for a downtown.

And thanks for pointing out Sad Keanu, I honestly didn't notice until it was mentioned!

Not really development related but I was in Cleveland this past weekend and got this shot from one of the abandoned factories on the east side.

I saw Public Square too and that project is massive, hopefully it really helps out downtown. Downtown Cleveland has so much untapped potential.

Nice pic - here's some background information on that building: http://clevelandhistorical.org/items...3#.VZJ33xx2qaM

There were plans for redevelopment that fell through, but the city put out another RFP in 2014, so here's hoping it can be rehabbed:
