Great shots! I love that site. There are some great Austin pics as well... particularly the Loop 360 construction in the late 70s, early 80s.

I love looking at old black & white photos of cities. It really does takes you back in time. These were the years when old 4 lane highways were being transformed into the 16 lane freeways & 8 stack over passes you see in Houston today.

You can see some of what Old Third Ward and Old Fourth Ward used to be before it became more extensively blighted during the 70s, 80s and 90s and then more gentrified during the 00s. Great finds.

Great stuff. Notice that you can see the old Gulf sign atop the Chase Building in that last shot.
