Looks like the forms for the perimeter foundation are starting to take shape

New Tower Crane, East Saint John?

After being away for two months from the city, I noticed from both Loch Lomond and Hickey Roads that there is a new tower crane, about 60 to 80 ft. in height, in the distance.

It seems to be located near the airport from what I could see.

Is this to do with the new water line improvements or is there an apartment tower or what? I'm hoping for the later.

Sadly it's not for an apartment tower. It's for the Water Treatment Plant construction. Here's the live webcam feed link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYYiBvT_Ab0

Yeah it's much, much, much more important than an apartment building, especially considering that an apartment building out there would be another bad piece of sprawl for the city.

Is it just me or have they decorated the tower crane with Christmas lights?

They've definitely decorated it with lights... I was puzzling myself over whether they're intended as Christmas lights or just accent lighting. We'll see if they leave them on after the holidays!

From what I've noticed, Big Crane operators seem to love decorating their beasts for the season, whatever the season is. So I wouldn't be surprised if some XMas lights are adorning the cranes now. I've also seen cranes with sports team banners during playoffs, and prominent country flags in the summer (around July 1st/ July 4th to be patriotic of course)

Have we seen any renders showing how this will look on the skyline? Will it be prominent or just blend in like Peel Plaza does?
