While it's nice seeing 3 WTC rise, the absence of 2 WTC is still shocking after all these years.

In the last month of November, in this thread alone, . .
there were about 30 pictures, all of downtown Manhattan . .
taken from every angle . . that were posted by NYguy . .
Dude, you certainly love this town . . and we're all better for it . .
QueensNYman posted quite a bit also . .
thanks you two, and the rest of you guys also . .

It is such a pleasure . . and I learn what's going on around town . .
just from studying SSP pictures . .
nothin' prettier than towers under construction . .
The skyline, of course, looks better in the colder months . .
when the days are shorter . . towers vibrant with busy-worker-bee lights . .

I've noticed they're again lighting the lantern in 40 Wall's spire, . .
though, criminally, they're still not illuminating Trump's dying-to-be-lit pyramid crown.
Atop my favorite, the refined, deco-masonry 70 Pine, . . (in 1 or 2 of the shots) . .
there's a cool "vertical-stripes in beams" lighting technique happening . .
even the too-wide 55 Water St. box, is getting into the act . .
its top-floor recessed squares, aglow with alternating colors . .
(repeating red, white, & blue if read from right to left) . .
I don't know if the lighting that I've noticed on these buildings . .
is permanently decided, . . or just temporary experimentation . .

I hope to God that atop 175 Greenwich . .
we don't just get more white horizontal-line florescents . .
squelching soaring visual-vibes, as it does atop 4 WTC . .
and far be it from me to mention . .
the cool crown verticals 175 could've had illuminated up there . .
They'd be doin' such a great PR job of promoting NYC every night . .
whoops, I mentioned the four of them again . .
just observing . .

Love the town, and skyscrapers. The two go hand in hand, what better place. And the city is full of photographers, a lot to choose from when not taking my own.

What's remarkable is that you never get tired of it.
I admit that I can't keep up.
There's just too many skyscrapers under construction to keep tabs of.
Let's just agree that NYC is the city of skyscrapers.
It's always been under construction and will never stop!

There really is too much to keep up with. I try to keep up with what I can, but there are just some developments that I can never get to. We are living in an exciting and historical time,
as far as skyscraper development goes in the city. Who knows when we will ever see this much going on at one time. So I just try to enjoy it while it lasts.

When the WTC is built, people generally won't remember how long it took to get completed, the issues with finding tenants, financing, etc. They'll look at it as something almost essential
to New York, and can't imagine the City without it. But here in the now, we get to see how these things are done.
