@uaarkson;

Better be careful what you say there, coz if sbarn should re-edit this to include *all* the West Side/ESB area beauties, you may collapse from emotional overload.
(BTW I'm assuming that's T.V.'s silhouette behind Citicorp)

But I think I'd better stop and ask the mods if this potential spinoff thread can be moved or re-started in another place. Somehow I see sbarns's editing job as the starting point for another "NYC c.2018" thread.

It's just a thought with keeping the topic of this thread in mind.

I'm not intending to drag this thread off topic, just showing whats to come. Why bury 'future' images off in some thread that nobody will look at?

Great shots! I love that 1715 Broadway and 250 W. 55th both make cameo appearances. To paraphrase Bobby Dylan, the skyline is a'changin'.

I'm getting a bit impatient with the façade crawling upwards. This, along with the "beacon" lighting on top, will be a MidTown game-changer till Tower Verre is cleared for lift-off.

I don't know how anyone could say its not tall enough. Looks just right here, as it dominates the area. Ironically, in a few years it will be dwarfed by taller towers as well.
But this is more than 1,000 ft filler.

it doesn't get the props it deserves perhaps due to it being so thin but it for sure fits perfectly

It's also not at its full height yet. Doesn't it go another 50-75 ft. with the mechanical space and crown?

will just say it again: the cladding on this one is so sickeningly good that it actually does a sort of harm to the city by contrast.
