This tower should be finished by mid 2015 or so with occupancy by 2016 or earlier (Everything seems to be going to plan). The other supertalls? 2017/18 for most. HY Phase 1 will be finished by 2018, and I believe most of the 57th street supertalls by 2017/18.

I doubt it. They are already behind schedule. I think it will be around 2020.

Clearly surpassing One57, and now the city's newest skyline sensation...(a few pics from the past few days)

Great pics.

Even more amazing is that within a few years, the focus won't even be on 432 Park.

After many days off, the 59th street cam is back in service, although the top of the building is currently out of view

But since it conserved the same position, it make it easy to do a gif with the progress of the last few weeks...

I'll be out of town for a couple of weeks, so I got some photos from Top of the Rock yesterday to tide me over. Will post more later...

It makes Citicorp look like a stump from this angle. Amazing!

Seriously, am i the only one who thinks the tower is a bit TOO tall? like, its height is throwing the new york skyline a bit off, in my opinion

Yeep.

Don't worry, the tower stands out now but will be one of a few in 3-5 years.

Throwing it off? IDK, what do you want? Did you think ESB and WTC1 were going to dominate the skyline forever? IMO, it doesn't throw it off ... you have two building of roughly the same height framing what is essentially the northern and southern borders of midtown. What I think doesn't really matter anyway ... it is all going to change very soon anyway.

I'll bet it has to be an other-worldly feeling to be the crane operator for this project. I'd like to be that guy for a day.

The city is experiencing a natural, aesthetic growth to the skyline. By this, I am referring to the gradual increase in height. In a few years, with all of the supertalls set to rise, 432 Park Ave will just be another super tall, which is crazy because how many cities could a supertall just blend it. A 1000ft seems to becoming the norm. Expect more especially with the Midtown East rezoning. Who knows what madness that will yield. All I know is, that it will be dense, and very tall.
