Two in One!!!

Thanks for the excellent shots, jc5680!! Two of my "babies" in one picture: Rush Atrium Addtion and 24 S. Morgan, (Pure24)!

Ahh, brings back memories of the good old days, like 2006, when so many projects were in the works that we could actually pick the jobs we wanted.

Core Topped Out

The core is topped out. A small slab at the top remains, then we'll see the forms start coming down.

They are working on the gray facade mechanical floor right now (page 1) and the upper floors (the butterfly shape) will be starting within the next couple weeks.

Cool. Do you know what floor Radiology will be on? Will it be at the start of the butterfly or below it. According to the schematic it is on the "3rd floor" but look at the picture Rush uses, really confusing (how is that the 3rd floor?):

Saw this in person for the first time today & yesterday. The Ortho building is nice.

On a side note, I can't begin to reiterate how important it is to preserve the old Cook County Hospital building. I really hope there is some sort of progress towards its reuse

Yea Cook County really is quite a building. I wonder what could be done with it? Apartments? Condos? Offices? I'm not sure if I would feel comfortable as a tenant living in an old hospital. Just a bit odd I think.

I think they U.N. should open another office in Chicago (after all there are already four cities that have UN offices, why not add another??) and renovate the Cook county hospital as the new headquarters; create a nice urban plaza in front of it and Voila! A new landmark is created

All kidding aside, I love the old hospital and wish it could be revitalized somehow..

Back to the thread topic - any new updates Tungsten? I look forward to your photo updates of this cool building
