Anybody planning on going to Nuit Blanche this year?

It's back!

http://www.nuitblanchecalgary.ca/

"The 2014 edition of Nuit Blanche Calgary will be held September 20 from 7:00 PM until 1:00 AM."

A great place to go after Circle the wagons

Don't forget about Take Back The Night tonight as well.

And CIFF all week! http://www.calgaryfilm.com/

Can someone give me the Cole's Notes regarding this? I'm looking to expand my horizons, meet new people to become educated, and check out the Calgary arts scene.

Also, are there event calendars for similar events throughout the year?

Nuit Blanche is free, so I suggest just heading down there, walking around, and absorbing.

Twitter is the best way to keep up with #sceneyyc happenings. I (and lots of SSPers) go to a lot of events around town and try to boost/promote. Feel free to follow @rylucky or peruse the accounts I follow.

I don't know if there is or not, but it would be nice to have. The one thing Calgary media doesn't do well at is advertising Calgary's festivals and events.

i'll just leave it at that.

The Feminist Supremacy - worthwhile experiencing.

The rest - kind of odd, kind of bizarre and nothing like what can be seen in the first picture in this thread.

In reality, we got more enjoyment out of people watching and looking at both Calgary's new and old architecture on our walk back to our vehicle in the west end - can't necessarily say I'd go back again.

It's too bad the Caitlin Brown piece isn't there every year. That alone would make it worth going to.
