You did some very nice detail on those condos and the other residential looking buildings.

Thanks for the comments guys!
I had some time to work on the city today so here's what I've done...

I was never did like my design for the W hotel so I tweaked the base a little and completely re-did the tower. I like this one much better, it flows into the street better and the building isn't as awkward.

I have also been working on a park for the 'palm street district' and i'm almost done with it. Because it is right at the end of the street, its layout was very crucial. Being in the palm street district, it needed to be flashy. Being in Arizona it had to be an oasis of sorts. It also had to be inving. Now with this whole 'palm street district' thing I didn't want to flat out copy times square, yet I wanted to emulate what it stood for. This is the end result (almost 'cause it's not done)

I also finished up a hospital which had been an empty base for weeks. It seems like a strange design for a hospital, or in general for that matter but whatever it's growing on me.

Lastly, Novaregroup has begun construction on its second residential tower in the city. According to Novare, it will contain upwards of 300 luxury units in a 52 story tower.

I've actually already completed the tower so I might post the rest of the construction pictures tomorrow. Also, I have yet to hear anything else on the 'new tallest' thus far but I'm sure it will only be a matter of time...

Thanks! yeah, I guess I forgot to explain what that thing is.... It's basically just a cylindrical screen with other flatscreens around the base. Anyways, here's a progress picture of the Novare site which seems to be coming along one schedule.

Hello everyone. I'm glad to see you are all still creating some great models. Everyone I have seen here has improved. Now although my city model has hit a bit of a hiatus, I have been messing around with sketchup again these past few days and created a few more buildings.

This first one is a remake of a building that I made last spring because it was lost with my old computer. It is basically the same except for a few materials and maybe proportions. It is 583' and 45 floors with both a hotel and residential component.

This next building is an office building. It is 570' and 41 floors.

Façade detail:

This last building is all residential, it is 517' and 47 floors.

Thank you and enjoy

I see you're making renders now! Great. The city looks nice and the new buildings too. Is the layout still the same? Buildings? Do you make your own facade or is it textured?

The last building is my favorite.

Yeah, you just need to work more on bases but the tower it's self is nice.

Reguarding the layout of the city, it is still the same as it has not been touched... Also, yes I do create my own Façade for each building. Aside from basic materials like glass, concrete, etc. don't like to use full building textures for individual building projects. And thank you! The last building is my favorite too.
