Another City

This is a copy of the thread I made on Skyscraper City, but I can't update that one since SSC is down. I apologize in advance for posting thumbnails, but the images were too big to post.

For those who havent seen the city before:
Downtown Mark One:

Downtown Mark Two (With Park):

The statue of A. N. Othercity, the founder of Another City

Now for an update: The Westcity Commerce And Culture District has begun development, with new office towers completed, the University Tower and Block (the buildings that look like clear glass with green bits on them that I need to re-texture) completed, the Museum of Modern Arts (The black and grey building) and the Spinneker Tower (the leaf shaped tower) completed. The Another City Assembly Building has also been completed (London City Hall, modelled by Frenchrogue of sketchup's 3D warehouse, because I tried to model something similar and it failed pretty badly).

And the city as it looks in the evening:

Edit: Btw, textures came from http://cgtextures.com (an amazing site with tons of free textures) and http://amazingtextures.com.

It was one I modelled that was based on T42, yeah. It was intended to go in somebody elses city, but they stopped their project before it was added.

I will be making more textures of my own and replacing some that are there with ones I've made myself. I'll also develop a roadplan (anything but a grid system though) and develop more on the Islands the city is on (I've got two islands, the downtown area, and a bridge so far, and I need to develop more).

Yeah, just make your own textures and whatnot. I do have to say that the city looks a little scary with all the dark textures. Do you have a name for it?

I've started to make some more new textures. I've intended it to look a bit dark. All the modern talls are shiny glass, and I like them, but I do prefer darker buildings (not necessarily concrete though).

The city already has a name. Its called 'Another City'.
