Smile Gothic cathedral model

Hello I'm new here, and am very impressed by this website
This is my Gothic cathedral model, I call it Gothic perfection!
It's not yet finished but it has a neat look to it already.
Here are two quick pictures of it.

And the second.

Well that's it, I'm actually gotten kind of tired with it and will start my own sketch-up city when I get some time.

Welcome to the forum! New members are really needed, as it is quite quiet in here.

The cathedral looks promising. Hopefully you'll finish it one day. Maybe you can incorporate it into to your city...

Well I'm going to finish my cathedral, It's going to be my most detailed building.

It still needs windows and a few small details, but it's almost done.

Here are the flying buttresses, I really think this feature of cathedrals is cool.

Here is a cool view of them.

I'm going to put it in Remus city when it's finished
Well that's all for now, what do you think?

Well iv'e put doors with cool gothic arches on three sides of the cathedral.

I have gothic windows on two sides so far.

What are those round windows called?

Now there is a spire on the roof

That is all I had time to do this week. Tell me what you think.

Those gothic arches look convincing, but I suggest you desaturate those window colors a bit. They're quite bright now. All in all, this looks quite realistic. Good job!

I really like the way the windows are...
All of the big windows are finished

I'm very happy with how it's turning out

Now I have to add windows on the sides and on the towers, then there is one more detail I'll do and it's finished

I had some trouble with the round windows, but now they are done
Please tell me what you think.

Beautiful work! I really need to get crackin' on Staunton's cathedral, this motivates me quite a bit I must say.

Deserves a spot in Remus City!

Nice cathedral. Will you put windows along the nave and in the towers as well?

Yep, I'm going to put windows there
The front of the cathedral is finished

Here is the right side of the right tower.

Here is the left side of the left tower.

I like how the windows are turning out. I was going to make them all the same, but I decided to make them different with an O.C.D. inspired pattern
Well thats all I can do for now, I have twenty more windows to do.

Nice! If I were to throw some constructive criticism your way I do think the back spire is a little on the thin side!

At long last my Gothic cathedral is finished

Gothic shadows

I did not realize just how many windows it needs.

Here is a view of part of the roof.

I love flying buttresses

There are so many views where the buildings looks so cool!

Here is a person's view who is standing right out of the doors looking up.

The cathedral is four hundred and twenty one feet long and two hundred and twenty feet wide, it has a two hundred foot roof and with the spires is three hundred and twenty feet tall!
I wanted it to be the largest cathedral in the world
Well thats all, please tell me what you think.

Good job! The detail is good and it really looks gothic. I'd like to see it in some kind of context to get a true feel of its size. Maybe you could put it into Remus City?

Here are a few last pictures of it before I go back to Remus city.
The cathedral on the left is from somewhere in Europe, one one in the middle is a very simple model of Notre Dame and of course the one on the right is mine.

Here is another view.

This view shows the sizes very well.[/URL]
Well thats it for my cathedral, I'm hopping others will be inspired to make their own gothic cathedrals
