Building Adjacent to Mary Mac's

Anyone know what's going on with the building adjacent to Mary Mac's? Looks like it's being prepped for demo. If I remember correctly it used to be a dialysis clinic.

Azure on the Park now under construction

Quote:
Azure on the Park, at Piedmont Avenue and 11th Streets is a 25 story luxury apartment tower with a 5 story wing concealing a six level parking deck from view. There is retail space on Piedmont Avenue, an amenity deck on top of the parking deck, and a two level outdoor terrace with infinity edge swimming pool on the 22nd and 23rd levels, overlooking Piedmont Park from above and with fantastic Atlanta skyline views. Construction has just begun!

I'm probably in the minority here but I'm not a huge fan of that one. I don't like how the tower is plopped on top of the midrise portion with no transition to the ground. Still, it's progress, and I guess something has to give for a project right on the Connector... that's not exactly prime real estate for residences.

May not be prime real estate in your opinion, but surely a heck of a lot of free advertising with traffic backups on the connector.

True. While it might not be ideal for residential, its not uncommon to see residential buildings right next to highways. The neighborhood around it is probably more important in the long run.

Noticed that this office + retail proposal for Westside had not been added.

Looks like the exact square footage has not been announced, but still an excepting concept nonetheless.

Yes. That is a cool project. The Westside is really coming into its own.
