It's amazing how such a prominent tower still manages to fade into the background from many angles. The glass is so underwhelming.

What sort of glass would you have preferred yourself?

The only colours that would pop - maybe in a gaudy way - are gold, pink, red or black.

Pic by me on 8/30. Glazing and color looks nice, but the way the balconies end with an abrupt edge then transition to that column of small glass panels makes it look somewhat cheap. Would have looked better if the balconies could blend into the overall building curve instead of being truncated.

It would be very cool if they could run an unbroken multi colored light up the side of the balconies for night impact viewing.

How much taller will this thing get?

Still feels relatively short

From what I can make out visually, it seems to be nearing 40 floors, so it would then have 23 or more floors to go, maybe 25 (?)

In person, it appears much more looming so far, from that angle at least.

It looks short in that pic - maybe due to a wide angle lens?
It's actually taller than the FortisBC tower in the right foreground, but doesn't look it.

From the Trump video, there looks to be a light feature up the angled edges next to the balconies. We won't know for sure until it lights up.

It was these ones from the video:

Starting at 2:07 in the first video here:
http://trumpvancouver.com/videoGallery.html

In your pic, it looks like the spandrel panels light up.
In the video pic, it looks like LEDs embedded in the recess in the corner mullion.

I hope they follow through with it, we desperately need more light in our skyline. You can barely see it in night shots! Lighting is something I really noticed in Montreal, it was very well done.
