The last set from my East Africa series. After Kenya it was on to a brief stop in Rwanda to see the Mountain Gorillas. I was briefly in the captial of Kigali before heading to the Volcano National Park where the Gorillas live. Shots are from two separate viewings, the first day it was pouring rain, the second day was overcast but dry. Each day I saw a different family group. Taking pictures of black gorillas in the dark, wet jungle is nearly impossible. I didn't have the lenses I do now and really could have used something other than a 5.6. For every clear image I have I probably took another five blurry ones. The gorillas themselves were amazing. I've never stared into another animal's eyes and seen such human emotion and cognition. Some shots from around Kigali and a market near the gorilla park.
That's it for the Safari shots... back to the concrete jungle.
