She's dull as dishwater, for a start. I'm hoping that if she can't reverse the trend, she withdraws from the race and throws her support behind Tory.

Basically my views, at this point.

I had expected much more from her but it's clear she isn't into it at all. My favourite candidate is a non-starter unfortunately (Soknacki). So may as well put my support behind Tory.

Rob Ford threatened teacher, had students roll in goose dung: documents

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford had his high school players roll in goose droppings, threatened to beat up a teacher, showed up drunk at a practice and reneged on a promise to buy $5,000 worth of football helmets for his team, according to internal school board documents released today.

Rossi told the board that Ford confronted Royiwsky, called him a "pussy" and threatened to beat him up.

"He kept repeating, 'I will kick your ass, F you, you're a pussy.' I run this program not you," according to one document.

The confrontation happened in the presence of students and left Royiwisky "shaken." The mayor later apologized.

In another incident outlined in the documents, Ford reportedly had his players "roll in goose scat" and called them "c--ksuckers" after he was unhappy with their efforts in a game.

Ford showed up "inebriated" and "incoherent" at the final practice before the Metro Bowl, the city's high school championship game.

It's called "megacity". No one wanted it but it saved money.

Still, only a fraction of the suburbs exist in the 416. Calgary is a unicity, over 85% of the metro population is in the City of Calgary, yet we voted in Naheed Nenshi twice. Suburbs are not an excuse.

Calgary doesn't have a long-running culture of perceived unfairness between the suburbs and the downtown the way Toronto has. People from Saddle Ridge don't complain incessantly about the big wigs Downtown forcing mass transit on them to the point that they elect politicians that promise to destroy anything vaguely urban.

I'm not in Toronto but I think I can take a stab at this.

Firstly, his opponents seem to be out of bullets. They fired everything they had and couldn't put him away for good. Ridiculing his dancing now? Good one

Secondly and more importantly, I'm willing to bet there's a significant component of the population who are starting to rebel against all the anti-Ford sentiment ...sentiment that they might actually agree with to some extent ... to the point where they're fed up, disgusted, and willing to tick the box beside his name in protest.

Call it the underdog phenomenon.

The irony is that if all the lefties who detest him so much showed a bit more decorum and restraint, he probably would have easily defeated himself, instead of having a realistic chance at winning again.

The people who feel sorry for crack smoking Rob Ford are the same people who think people who smoke crack are thugs who should go to jail for life.

It's quite fun to watch the cognitive dissonance in them.

Equally fun is watching and reading his opponents reactions to the fact that he may actually win again. And if he does get defeated, their consolation prize is ... another conservative mayor.
